 AQUAE ADRIANAE

PANTHEON INSTITUTE . STUDY ABROAD . ACCADEMIA ADRIANEA . 1ST PRIZE - PIRANESI PRIX DE ROME . FALL 2016 . ROMA, ITALIA

The competition program was to design a thermal bath complex at the ancient archeologial site of Villa Adriana, in Tivoli (Italy).

Inspired by the Roman thermae the project is divided, all from the beggining, between the women and men’s areas. Using the pecile as the main axis for the complex, all areas are supposed to be experienced in order: starting at the spogliatoio (changing room) until the piscine aperte (opened swimming pools). A pavilion is reserved for the restaurant and cultural center while on the other side, a reliquarium keeps some artifacts for public exhibition.

Winning Team: Erica Furlan, Flavio Terracciano, Jonathan Libman, Matteo Stasi, Ornella Trespidi, Thiago Augusto Ferreira Lisboa, Valeria Colosetti & Vicenzo Stile.
